Carolyn Dorfman Dance presents Prologue: A Dance of Hope — The Story of Max Heller, a powerful fusion of dance, music, and theater. Featuring electroacoustic compositions by Sarajevo-born composer Svjetlana Bukvich and Bosnian singer Davor Ebner, this project is a cultural bridge between BiH and its US diaspora. Premiering in January 2025, it honors Heller’s legacy as a Holocaust survivor, immigrant, and trailblazing mayor who fought segregation in Greenville, South Carolina.
