DESCRIPTION
A special thematic Symposia in Technical and Natural Sciences: Data Science and Geographic Information Systems is international forum for scientists, engineers, and students to present their latest research and development results in innovative and interdisciplinary applications of advanced technologies.
In the field of Data Science, we solicit the contributions both in fundamentals (machine/deep learning, data science statistics, data quality, algorithms, optimization …) as well as applications (domain-driven data science and analytics practice, decision-making, case studies, social and economic impact modeling as well as ethics, social issues, privacy, trust, and bias).
Also, experts like geospatial data analysts, geospatial intelligence analysts, market research analysts, GIS analysts, locational analysts, and research data scientists are invited to share their findings.
With the new categories of users such as Data Scientists, GIS is starting to happen more outside of traditional GIS tools, allowing more sophisticated spatial analysis to take place in connection with new Data Science & Big Data solutions. This shift is allowing Spatial Data Science to emerge as a discipline with greater interactivity with Open Source & Cloud technologies.
Spatial Data Science (SDS) is a subset of Data Science that focuses on the unique characteristics of spatial data, moving beyond simply looking at where things happen to understand why they happen there.

DESCRIPTION
Geodesy and geoinformatics collects and analyses a broad spectrum of geospatial data. Thanks to tremendous advances of instrumentations and computational facilities, geodesy and geoinformatics became one of the most interesting professions and scientific fields, especially now that geospatial data belongs to the most valuable input at the modern market. Technological advances enabled over the recent years the development of Geodesy and Geoinformatics under a wide spectrum of interactions, including theory, science, engineering, technology, observation, and practice-oriented services.
The digitalization of modern society is inconceivable without geospatial data that professionals in the field of geodesy and geoinformatics produce, collect, maintain, and use in synergy with experts from all technical and social professions.
This symposium is primarily intended to show different kinds of investigations and results, advancing the methods of solving geodetic problems, estimating parameters, and analyzing geospatial data.
The motivation of this symposium is to present contributions that show the use of new methods on real data in various branches of geodetic science and practice. Therefore, we are anticipating presentations concerning problems of reference frames, positioning, gravity field problems, dynamics and rotation of the Earth, remote sensing, geoinformation, geoinformation systems, mapping, land management, geoethical questions, and presentations that show ties to other disciplines as well.

Industrial processes towards green chemistry
DESCRIPTION
Man’s activities affect the state of the environment: the purity of air, water and land, the concentration of greenhouse gases that affect climate change, and the amount of waste he creates. Of particular importance is environmental protection and sustainable use of natural resources, improvement of environmental management, prevention of environmental pollution, integration of the environment into other sectors (tourism, energy, industry, agriculture, forestry, mining…).
Green or sustainable chemistry or industrial processes towards green chemistry implies the creation of chemical products and processes that reduce or eliminate the use and production of harmful substances. The focus is on using only raw materials and chemical processes that have no negative effects on the environment. Green industrial processes are a highly effective approach to pollution prevention because it applies innovative scientific solutions in everyday situations. As a form of molecular pollution prevention, these technologies provide a number of benefits, including reducing the amount of waste, avoiding expensive treatments at the end of the production line, reducing the use of energy and resources, strengthening the competitiveness of manufacturers and their customers, and the use and production of safer and harmless ingredients and products, as well as increased productivity of chemical reactions. Chemicals that are less dangerous to human health and the environment are less toxic to living things in nature and ecosystems, they do not stay in the environment for a long time and do not bioaccumulate in organisms, they are safer to handle and use.
Let’s think, create and stay green every day of the year!
