For sixteen years, the Days of BHAAAS have been a substantial, high-quality, and successful conference.
Bosnian-Herzegovinian American Academy of Arts and Sciences was founded in Charlotte, North Carolina, on November 3, 2007.
The Computer Science and Information Technologies Student Symposium is an event for final-year bachelor students to present their thesis projects, share ideas, and receive feedback. Selected participants will give short presentations followed by Q&A, with the best presentations receiving awards at the end.
At the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, University of Tuzla, the First Student Biology Conference was ceremonially opened last year—an event that brought together young researchers, ideas, and a shared passion for science in one place. We are now proud to announce a new edition of this inspiring event!
As part of the Ministry for Human Rights and Refugees of Bosnia and Herzegovina Knowledge Transfer Program, Prof. Dr. Zlatan Akšamija visited Sarajevo, where he delivered a lecture and engaged with students and faculty.
The Bosnian-Herzegovinian American Academy of Arts and Sciences invites biology students to submit their abstracts for the Biology Student Symposium, which will be held on May 22 - 23, 2026 in Tuzla.

Over the past 16 years, this event has brought together more than 1,000 participants from 30 countries through numerous symposiums, special events, and a dedicated student program.

Carolyn Dorfman Dance presents Prologue: A Dance of Hope - The Story of Max Heller, a powerful fusion of dance, music, and theater. Featuring electroacoustic compositions by Sarajevo-born composer Svjetlana Bukvich and Bosnian singer Davor Ebner, this project is a cultural bridge between BiH and its US diaspora. Premiering in January 2025, it honors Heller’s legacy as a Holocaust survivor, immigrant, and trailblazing mayor who fought segregation in Greenville, South Carolina.
