ABSTRACTS
BHAAAS Humanities and the Arts (HARTS) is pleased to announce a Call for Projects and Papers to be presented at the 13th Days of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian American Academy of Arts and Sciences (BHAAAS) in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. All BHAAAS HARTS members are encouraged to apply. The accepted proposals will, in part or in whole, address the theme of the 13th Days of BHAAAS HARTS symposium:
“Interdisciplinarity as the basis for research design”
The symposium aims to provide physical and virtual space for the meeting of ideas and artistic expression, whereby continuing to build and strengthen our community of artists as well as practitioners in the humanities with diverse backgrounds.
For Projects, the committee will only consider already completed works to be presented at the symposium.
Project proposals will be accepted in the following categories: Music, Visual Arts, Architecture, Theater, Media Arts, Film & Animation, Literature, History, and related disciplines.
The proposal abstracts, subject to peer review, need to include the following:
- Project description, up to 4000 characters, including the name, project title and contact information
- Project narrative, up to 6000 characters, detailing the artistic vision/procedure/medium and technical requirements for presentation OR a paper abstract detailing the topic(s) of research
- Biography and/or CV available through online links
- Up to three samples demonstrating the candidate’s work (including the proposed project), made available through online links. If works are part of a larger group of works, indicate which three works the committee should focus on.

Each 20-minute-long exposé can be delivered in English or Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian. Disclaimer: Presentations will be video recorded for the BHAAAS archive. All materials are to be used for educational purposes only.
If the session also runs online, the Zoom link will be available and announced one week ahead.
The presented papers will be considered for publications in the HARTS journal through the Museum of Literature in Sarajevo as the symposium proceedings.
