For sixteen years, the Days of BHAAAS have been a substantial, high-quality, and successful conference.
Bosnian-Herzegovinian American Academy of Arts and Sciences was founded in Charlotte, North Carolina, on November 3, 2007.
The Second International Symposium on Maxillofacial Surgery, held as part of the 17th BHAAAS Days, brought together distinguished experts with the aim of exchanging knowledge, experiences, and the latest achievements in this field. The symposium was led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dino Dizdarević, DDM, PhD, and Dr. Amer Kubat, DDM.
As part of the 17th BHAAAS Days, a one-day interdisciplinary symposium dedicated to the mental health of children and adolescents was held.
The 17th Days of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian American Academy of Arts and Sciences (BHAAAS) have officially opened in Sarajevo, marking one of the most important international scientific and professional gatherings that brings together Bosnian-Herzegovinian scientists, physicians, researchers, artists, and experts from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the diaspora.
The first day of the 17th BHAAAS Days in Sarajevo brought together numerous local and international experts, researchers, professors, physicians, and students through a diverse interdisciplinary program dedicated to contemporary achievements in medicine, technical sciences, information technologies, and artificial intelligence.
BHAAAS Days are the most important activity organized by the Bosnian-Herzegovinian American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
Over the years, BHAAAS Days have grown into a respected international conference.
Over the past 16 years, this event has brought together more than 1,000 participants from 30 countries through numerous symposiums, special events, and a dedicated student program.
BHAAAS Days are a platform for networking, unforgettable encounters, and the exchange of ideas between local and international experts from various fields of science and art.
After 16 successful conferences, BHAAAS proudly continues building bridges between the homeland and the world.

Carolyn Dorfman Dance presents Prologue: A Dance of Hope - The Story of Max Heller, a powerful fusion of dance, music, and theater. Featuring electroacoustic compositions by Sarajevo-born composer Svjetlana Bukvich and Bosnian singer Davor Ebner, this project is a cultural bridge between BiH and its US diaspora. Premiering in January 2025, it honors Heller’s legacy as a Holocaust survivor, immigrant, and trailblazing mayor who fought segregation in Greenville, South Carolina.
