For sixteen years, the Days of BHAAAS have been a substantial, high-quality, and successful conference.

As part of the “Knowledge Transfer of Experts from the Diaspora to Bosnia and Herzegovina” program, implemented by the Ministry for Human Rights and Refugees of Bosnia and Herzegovina in partnership with BHAAAS, Professor Zlatan Akšamija delivered three lectures at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Sarajevo, in March 2026.
17th Days of BHAAAS in Sarajevo and the Sixth International Ophthalmology Symposium: The best paper and presentation will be awarded with a prestigious cataract wet lab training in Prague with travel and accommodation expenses covered.
The Bosnian-Herzegovinian American Academy of Arts and Sciences (BHAAAS) announces with deep respect and sorrow that András Riedlmayer (1947–2026), long-serving Director of the Documentation Center for Islamic Architecture of the Aga Khan Program at Harvard University and an honorary member of BHAAAS, has passed away at the age of 79.
Dr. Selma Kadić-Maglajlić, Professor at Copenhagen Business School and a member of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian American Academy of Arts and Sciences (BHAAAS), has been awarded the prestigious DSEB Research Award, a recognition granted for outstanding scientific contributions in the field of business and social research.
BHAAAS Days are the most important activity organized by the Bosnian-Herzegovinian American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
Over the years, BHAAAS Days have grown into a respected international conference.
Over the past 16 years, this event has brought together more than 1,000 participants from 30 countries through numerous symposiums, special events, and a dedicated student program.
BHAAAS Days are a platform for networking, unforgettable encounters, and the exchange of ideas between local and international experts from various fields of science and art.

Carolyn Dorfman Dance presents Prologue: A Dance of Hope - The Story of Max Heller, a powerful fusion of dance, music, and theater. Featuring electroacoustic compositions by Sarajevo-born composer Svjetlana Bukvich and Bosnian singer Davor Ebner, this project is a cultural bridge between BiH and its US diaspora. In addition to her work in BiH, she has made a significant impact as a visiting professor at foreign universities, sharing her extensive knowledge and experience with students and colleagues.
