Bosnian-Herzegovinian American Academy of Arts and Sciences

BHAAAS is a voluntary non-profit, non-governmental, non-partisan, multi-ethnic, and multi-cultural organization whose purposes are exclusively educational, scientific, and charitable, as defined under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code.

Bosnian-Herzegovinian American Academy of Arts and Sciences was founded in Charlotte, North Carolina, on November 3, 2007.

 

The Mission of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian American Academy of Arts and Sciences (BHAAAS) is to develop and advance the arts and sciences among the Bosnian-Herzegovinian diaspora and in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

 

The Vision of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian American Academy of Arts and Sciences (BHAAAS) is to become a leading network for professional and academic advancement of future generations of Bosnian-Herzegovinian-Americans, Bosnian-Herzegovinians and friends of Bosnia and Herzegovina throughout the world.

BHAAAS values: Supporting the development of technology and education in BiH through connections with diaspora experts

At the Linnovate Business Park in Livno, as part of the USAID Diaspora Invest project, with BHAAAS as the main partner, a technical workshop titled "Advanced Technologies for Hardware and Lithium-Ion Batteries: Safety, Automation, and Innovation" was held. The workshop was led by Nermin Osmanović, a member of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian American Academy of Arts and Sciences (BHAAAS) and an experienced engineer with over 20 years of expertise in the hardware technology industry.

As part of the USAID "Diaspora Invest" project, we continue to carry out mentoring support activities for companies in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Our goal is to connect experts from the diaspora with domestic companies, provide free mentorship, trainings and offer expertise in order to improve products and services.

The documentary "Counted Out" explores the intersection of mathematics, civil rights, and democracy, highlighting how an understanding—or lack thereof—of mathematics affects society's ability to tackle key challenges such as healthcare, climate change, misinformation, and elections.
