The Bosnian-Herzegovinian American Academy of Arts and Sciences (BHAAAS) is proud to announce that the landmark 20th BHAAAS Annual Meeting will take place October 16–18, 2026, in Chicago.
BHAAAS is a voluntary non-profit, non-governmental, non-partisan, multi-ethnic, and multi-cultural organization whose purposes are exclusively educational, scientific, and charitable, as defined under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code.
Bosnian-Herzegovinian American Academy of Arts and Sciences was founded in Charlotte, North Carolina, on November 3, 2007.
For sixteen years, the Days of BHAAAS have been a substantial, high-quality, and successful conference.

Since 2023, the Bosnian-Herzegovinian American Academy of Arts and Sciences (BHAAAS) has been organizing the Mentorship Program for medical students in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Through this nine-month program, students have the opportunity to work with BHAAAS members and medical experts from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Europe and the United States of America.
The Bosnian-Herzegovinian American Academy of Arts and Sciences has awarded honorary membership in BHAAAS to esteemed Prof. Dr. Richard C. Allen, M.D., Ph.D., FACS, a distinguished expert in ophthalmology and oculoplastic surgery from Baylor College of Medicine in the United States of America.
As part of the 17th Days of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian American Academy of Arts and Sciences (BHAAAS), the book Between Ethnonationalism and the Civic State – Integral Politics: A New Social Contract for Bosnia and Herzegovina, by distinguished authors Dr. Asim Haračić, Prof. Dr. Nermina Mujagić and Indira Nović, was promoted at the Faculty of Political Sciences.
BHAAAS Days are the most important activity organized by the Bosnian-Herzegovinian American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
Over the years, BHAAAS Days have grown into a respected international conference.
Over the past 16 years, this event has brought together more than 1,000 participants from 30 countries through numerous symposiums, special events, and a dedicated student program.
BHAAAS Days are a platform for networking, unforgettable encounters, and the exchange of ideas between local and international experts from various fields of science and art.
After 17 successful conferences, BHAAAS proudly continues building bridges between the homeland and the world.
